Westar Media Group Announces Changes To
CRW Radio Advisor®, Signature and Global Charts
LAUNCHES NEW 2012 CRW ADDS CHART® FOR INDEPENDENTS

(Colorado Springs, CO) — December 12, 2011 — CRW Radio Advisor and its Signature / Global Charts are stopping effective immediately and will be replaced with a brand new radio airplay chart, chart ranking methodology and weekly publication which launches on January 16, 2012.

“The Christian music industry is being well served by Billboard® and other charting services which cater to major record labels and signed artists and groups,” says Westar Media Group founder and president, Dave Koch. “Beginning in 2012, we will increase and focus our mission solely in the area in which our company continues to excel as an industry leader; that is, serving independent Christian artists and bands with national and worldwide radio airplay and chart rankings.”

As part of this mission, Westar Media Group will debut its new CRW ADDS CHART® on January 16, 2012 and will return to a weekly release of its publication Indie Amped™.

The CRW ADDS CHART® will showcase some of the best independent artists and bands in the industry. This free weekly chart will be a unique change to the traditional industry model of tracking station spins. Instead, the new chart ranking methodology of the CRW ADDS CHART® will be based on station ADDS. As stations sign up to add singles from independent artists and bands to their playlist, every station and translator, domestically in the U.S. and worldwide, will be tracked and counted toward a song’s chart position. The online website of the CRW ADDS CHART®, which is free to the public, will allow readers to view the chart rankings by multiple factors:

• Total Station Adds: Shows all ADDS from commercial and non-commercial Christian and/or mainstream stations in the USA, Canada, International, commercial and Internet (4 charts).
  
  
• Total Outlets: Shows all combined stations and networks plus their translator count.
  
  
• Hottest ADDS for the Week: Shows which artist/band received the most station ADDS that week.
  
  
• Biggest Mover for the Week: Shows which artists jumped the most in rankings.
  
  
• Total Stations/Outlets – Last 4 Weeks: Shows data for the last month to highlight new artists and song ADDS.
  

“CRW Radio Promotions' primary goal has been to get radio stations to add quality singles from independent artists and bands,” said Dave Koch. The CRW ADDS CHART® is powered by SpinTracker™, CRW’s proprietary chart data system. “CRW has always been proud of SpinTracker™,” continues Koch. “SpinTracker™ has put a wealth of data into reader’s hands with just a few clicks. The CRW ADDS CHART® is not for CRW Radio Promotions artists exclusively. “On the contrary,” adds Koch. “Radio Promoters, Artist Managers, even Independent Record Labels can release their artist’s music to be charted on the new CRW ADDS CHART®.” CRW Radio Promotions provides CRW Compilation Releases and custom individual song releases through its CRW S-PLAY® (Westar Media Group’s version of PLAY MPE).

CRW will resume publishing Indie Amped™ on a weekly basis beginning January 16, 2012. Indie Amped™ will continue to provide helpful information for independent artists, showcasing advice and articles from industry leaders and profiles of some of the best independent artists and bands in the industry.
