COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, November 29, 2018 -- Lauren DeMaio is just an everyday girl trying to find something to hold on to. 

She found the one true Source of strength while in a hospital bed. Here are her words.

"After a year of playing softball in college, I got very sick with what started as a cold, but worked up to pneumonia and really affected the quality of my lungs. I missed so much school from being in the hospital, I was told to take leave of absence and withdraw from school. It wasn't until I officially withdrew that music became more of a focus for me. I wrote a bunch of songs in the hospital, but I wrote just as an outlet at this point. I had no plans to create a record or take music to any other level in my life."

Within a short time out of the hospital, Lauren felt a strong pull to reach others through music. She met with SMG, (producer, manager & co-writer) and soon launched a schedule of writing, recording and performing at festivals like Hillfest and Worship in the Adirondacks.  In a whirlwind summer she has opened for bands such as Unspoken, Tenth Avenue North and For King and Country.

Lauren’s first radio single from the Journey record is “Locked Eyes,” a song written to encourage those in doubt – a reminder in seasons of uncertainly or trial to keep our eyes locked on The Father – the only One who will remain true and constant in life. http://www.crwradiopromotions.com/

The single is currently spinning on over thirty stations nationwide through CRW Radio Promotions and debuted in October at #40 on What’s In-Store Music Chart.
